we do it all
From the most minute detail to the broadest vision, we make it happen. We create the winning strategy, build stakeholder relationships, develop traditional and digital assets, and execute on time.
Here are a few examples of our work.
THE PROJECT: Bristol Corndog Festival
THE STAKEHOLDERS: Bristol On The River
THE TASK: More than 90% of the corndogs in the US are manufactured out of a Monogram Foods plant in Bristol, Indiana. In 2021, a group of Monogram employees began the Monogram Loves Kids Corn Dog Festival in Bristol. After running it for three years, Monogram Foods decided to step away from the planning and operations for the festival.
In 2025, Bristol On The River took over the management and coordination of the festival. They hired Write Connections to reimagine the festival with the intent to bring visitors to the Bristol community.
THE CHALLENGES: The previous festival drew around 2,000 people. They would grab a corndog and leave. People surveyed said that they did not typically stay at the festival very long.
Corporate sponsors were slim, as Monogram had heavily supported the festival in past years. They also had brought in a band for the past several years and provided fireworks. The current budget did not allow for fireworks and would need to fundraise for the festival.
WHAT WC DID: We started from scratch. We created a new logo, a website (since the previous festival had not had one), and a marketing strategy. We included Stephanie Krol from Stephanie Krol Public Relations to run PR. We created all the infrastructure, including logistics strategy, site maps, social media strategy, and vendor/volunteer forms.
We launched new ideas (acoustic stage, wiener dog costume contest, vintage game area, well-crafted artisan village, and Corndog King Contest) and managed the logistics on the day of the festival.
We brought on corporate sponsors and leveraged partnerships with local vendors, including ADEC, which provided shuttle service.
THE RESULTS: Over 12,000 people attended the one-day festival. A record for any festival in the town’s history. ADEC provided shuttle services for over 4K people. The website had over 19,000 visitors with almost 800K social media views. We received media hits on every regional outlet.
The visitors were both local and from states as far away as PA. Families reported that the lines were too long for food (most food vendors sold out), but that they stayed hours and enjoyed the entertainment and festival.
THE PROJECT: Coolest Thing Made In Elkhart County
THE STAKEHOLDERS: Elkhart County Commissioners; Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County, Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, and Elkhart County Visitors Bureau
THE TASK: Then, Commissioner Mike Yoder had an idea. He read about a state offering a competition for the coolest things made in their state. He thought, “We make a lot of cool things in our county; why not do a similar competition?”
Since then, the State of Indiana has also been doing a similar competition through the Chamber of Commerce.
The idea was to amplify the unique things made in Elkhart County, known as the RV Capital of the World.
THE CHALLENGES: Right after the project got underway, the COVID pandemic brought the world to a halt. The process of meeting with contestants and a business expo had to be scrapped. New ideas for voting online and celebrating the competition were emerging in real time.
WHAT WC DID: We took Commissioner Yoder’s idea and created a multi-level strategy that included: logo design, marketing materials, logistics for collecting nominations, a voting mechanism, and wide-scale PR. We created everything from flyers, pitch decks, logos, and websites that evolved throughout the competition.
THE RESULTS: Over 50 local companies were featured. Contestants were interviewed, filmed, and a story was written about their product. Each contestant had their own webpage that included links to their products and company websites.
Votes were cast online, and the winners were announced at a big celebration that was turned into one of the first virtual events of 2020.

THE PROJECT: Shop Northern Indiana
THE STAKEHOLDERS: Write Connections
THE TASK:
The COVID-19 pandemic changed our world. We watched local businesses struggle because they didn’t have an online presence and were having to pivot daily. Understanding the challenges many small businesses were facing and seeing our community want to support local businesses but not knowing how best to do so, we decided to act.
THE CHALLENGES: Small businesses were struggling. Things were changing daily. Knowing where to go and how to support local businesses was a challenge.
WHAT WC DID: We launched Shop Northern Indiana to help small businesses and our community connect. This project was initiated and supported solely by Write Connections.
THE RESULTS: During a stressful time, we provided the communication needed to support each other.
